To Cookie:Oh my, won't that leave crumbs in the bed and thus compound the problem?

Yes! I think you have a problem! You had better get out the first day that the snow has disappeared and get the leaves raked up. If you don't get to it when the grass growing season starts your lawn will be a mess. Good luck and you may have to postpone golf for a weekend.

If they're still around after the snow melts, rake or mulch 'em then. If they're gone, they''ve become fertilizer. Either way, no problem. All of nature deals just fine with the leaves it causes to fall.

ACUTUALLY LEAVES ARE A GOOD COMPOSITE FOR YOUR GRASS. WHEN YOU RAKE THEM IT'S PRETTY MUCH FOR APPEARANCE.
