Check with the range. Your state may have laws about transportation of weapons. The range would probably know that too. Usually unloaded in a locked container and separated from the ammunition and not within easy reach of the driver is the rule. That can vary with the type of vehicle and can be interpreted different ways.
Your state affiliate of the NRA may have information also.

Each individual gun range has its own rules. In talking to the Gun Store, where they have the weapons, and training, they allow a person over 18 years of age, alone, to fire. If accompanied by parent, the age is 10. That is in Las Vegas.

By yourself i doubt it you need someone over 21 with a license.

i dont know but i think its 16 for hunting
