I'm a 16 year old male and I seriously no pretty much NOTHING about cars. I have my permit and I can drive and all, but I don't know the KINDS of different cars and everything. I never understood how people could determine the brand of car, like Ford, Honda, Mercedes, etc. I know it sometimes says it on the back but not always.. And please help me because I'm getting my license this summer and how am I suppose to do that if I don't even know what types of cars there are!

getting your license has nothing to do with recognizing makes/models of cars...don't worry.

in the big picture, it doesnt really matter if you can identify one car from the next...i would bet that many people cannot.

all cars have emblems or words that will help...if they don't tell you directly.

as you get used to driving, you will probably start picking up some kinds of cars and figure it out in no time...but no sweat either way.

drive safe and courteous...that is the most important.

No, the brand is on every single car, it's usually a symbol, it's not always in words. And it might not be on the back, it could be on the front. And usually you can tell what type it is just by looking at it, Volvos usually have a flat back, Mercedes are big and wide, etc. It's not that hard, you have to observe cars more. And you don't need to be an expert on determining the brands of cars to get your license, you just have to know how to drive. You do know what type of car your family drives though, right?

once you'll have your first car then you will learn about others, its like when you were young and never noticed girls, you thought they were ikkiee, but now you like them, same thing with cars, why dont you type cars in google image search and start looking at some cars, over time you'll get around them .... i was the same as you.... also try yahoo autos.
