Acutally Jehovahs Witnesses and Mormons usually ALWAYS have Bibles and Literature in there hands, If you don't see that then i'd be a little worried (hey people lay off the j.w.'s and Mormons, I know i wouldn't have the strength to go door to door on a daily basis especially after people slam doors and unleash dogs!)

Not to answer the door and to peek outside and see if there's any kind of identifying information on a car. I do not answer the door to strangers any longer.
