Thank you sooo much everyone for your quick response! For the record, my birth control is Seasonique. It's the one where you don't have a period for three months while you're on it.. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but still, thank you everyone!

Start them today. You are suppose to start when you are on your period. It just means that if you started your period Friday that you would start your pill that Sunday.

The Sunday AFTER your period starts is NEXT SUNDAY. If you take it today it's the Sunday your period starts.

Well, FYI -- you do not *have* to start them solely on sunday, you can choose to start them on whatever day bests suits you. I was informed to start mine 2 days after my period, so IE, if I got my period on sunday, I would start the pills on tuesday --- you can start the pills on whatever day you choose, so long as you stay on cycle. But there is also a lot that plays on what type of pill you are taking, there are SOOO many different types of pills out there nowadays, that can play a big role in it --- if you are completly unsure, just call up your DR or clinic and ask -- I mean, if you are suppose to start taking them today, you still got plenty of time -- you can take them whatever time of day you want, just as long as you take it at the *same* time everyday --- if your DR /clinic is closed today, there are many 24/7 nursing hotlines you can call to get advice if you are confused.

I know what I have been told, but a lot can depend on what type of pill you are taking, so I wouldn't necessarily listen to anyone's direct answers on here wihtout knowing what type of pill you are on, or unless someone on here is a nurse, dr or intern etc etc that would definately know --- I think your best bet would be to call a hursing hotline and ask just to be safe - and let them know what specific pill you are taking.

You would start the Sunday after that. I would also recommend calling your doctor on Mon to ask for further clarification of the instructions to see what they say.

Take them next week.

The fact that you have taken a pill this week doesn't matter, it's next sunday that you need to make sure you take it properly.

Don't panic, it's a common mistake. They won't take effect until you've finished your period anyway.

You are supposed to start it on the Sunday of your period. I mean, if you start one day late, it's OK. Don't worry. Start it?
