Oooohhh! I *love* Jethro Tull!
I'd actually go with the 'Folk' trio :~
Songs from the Wood
Heavy Horses
Stormwatch
Edit :~
Jack B : Yep, their 1987 album 'Crest of a Knave' was awarded the Grammy for 'Heavy Metal Album' !

Great question! Probably Thick As A Brick, because it's really creative (not that Stand Up isn't) but it's just... different I mean, what band has an album with 4 songs 20 minutes each?!? Not to mention the songs are incredible. So yeah.

Tull has much to be proud of. Their discography is simply amazing.
Thick as a Brick is not only the bands finest moment but one of the most essential progressive recordings of all time. A masterpiece!

I'm not really that familiar with them, but didn't they win a grammy for "best heavy-metal performance" at some point? As I recall, it was a big story because they are anything but a "heavy metal" band, lol.
