how do i install a cpu? i`m upgrading.?

upgrading from sempron 3500+ to athlon 64 x2 5000+. I done my psu and gpu and ram recently. But i dont know anything about cmos or bios. Could someone shed some light on this please...

It totally depends on your Motherboard.. (which you don't even mention) == often older boards won't accept upgrades , so why not RTFM ?

i think u will need a new board

personally i would get an e6600 core2 duo

as a lot of athlon are locked and dont like to be overclocked
