i hate when people ask stupid questions.
both my parents were politicians for a number of years and never lied about anything. they were elected and re elected.
just because the liberal politicians are liars doesn't mean the whole lot is. my parents conveyed their ideas just fine and didn't promise what they couldn't deliver.

To a large degree all politician liars but its not entirely their faults. I would use a simple analogy to make my point. Suppose you want to invite five friends over to a pizza party that you are having. Lets say, you can provide only cheese pizzas, not other type. Lets say, none of you friends like cheese pizzas. So what do you do, since you can't please any of them then you lie. Even if you could provide other types of pizzas (but this might not please all your friends) , you want all them to come, so to insure that they all will come too your party you lie. Candidates know that they won't be able to please the voting public if they hold to principles, because most of the voting public have varying and different principles and ideas, so they constantly test the waters with polls and adjust their principles in order to get most of the votes. Or they use subtle methods and talk in generalities and not in specifics. Because if they really get into details they risk losing voters. The other component with lying is the pull of lobbyist on the voters. That is why campaign reform is so important. Lobbyist compromises' the whole Democratic process.

I incredibly have self assurance that maximum politicians lie. not all. In protection of any flesh presser, each in particular circumstances they could lie or not say some thing as a results of fact it extremely is exclusive soft information that the common public shouldn't understand till a given time. This oftentimes pertains to national risk-free practices, not scandals. many people accuse Bush of mendacity approximately many quite a few issues. undergo in strategies that one can overlook approximately what he's familiar with to be actuality and say some thing diverse to lie. If Bush had undesirable intelligence going into Iraq, he became into not mendacity, he became into deceive alongside with many different leaders. sure, he has dealt with the conflict poorly at some levels which has given him a foul rap. that doesn't make him a liar.

i think Bush is a liar and Cheney... but a lot of other politicians are so brain dead I do think that in their minds they think they are telling the truth. Politicians, once elected, do not live in the same world the rest of us do. They get to thinking that they were not only elected, they were anointed by God... and that no matter what the populace says, or does or how much we disagree.. they, the ones on high, are the only ones that know what is good for us.
They tend to forget, they are just people like the rest of us.. that they put their pants on one foot at a time as we all do.
i don't know what the solution is... but it is sad that when we think we vote for someone to represent us.. the minute they are elected they forget there ever was an " us".

I doubt that Huckabee is a downright liar. I believe it is inherent, socially for someone to succeed at the level of Governor, Senator, or President to be able to communicate in a way that pleases most of the people. In order to pacify a majority of the people, you must be able to either lie, or speak around things and "massage" the truth in a way that they will accept. To be completely honest will 99% of the time fail miserably due to the peoples' needs and expectations. To blame the politicians for filling this role is shortsighted. I don't think all of them lie. Be open-minded but not jaded in your analysis.

Yes! Politician doesn't work for all people. He works for some people. Usually "some" people very rich. Usually very rich people a few. Will politician works for us if we haven't got some millions of dollars. Abslolutely, politicians are liars.

no, not all. yes, it's true that many are. some people stereotype politicians and say they lie about everything and that you can't believe anything that they say. be careful about who you trust, but no, not all politicians are liars.

Politicians are not liars, they are just very, very poor at conveying ideas to people without giving them something in return, and then not giving it to them for 5 years.

I think to some degree they are. When they are campaigning and promise to give people certain things once they are elected, that's a lie. This is because they usually have to get it by Congress first.

Some are further from the truth than others, but while some may not lie, they avoid the truth. There is a difference.
