If he were running for office where you live? He's running in my state. At first, I thought it was just a joke, but I'm seeing more and more bumper stickers and stuff in support of him. I think this guy actually has a shot at winning! Stewart Smalley for senator?!

He is a highly intelligent man. I don't really know where he stands on issues, I would guess far left, but I would listen to him because he is a smart guy. I may not agree with him or vote for him, but I would certainly give him a listen to.

People said that about Ronald Reagan (Bedtime For Bonzo) and Jesse Ventura (Professional Wrestling!!). If Mr. Franken has debated others seriously on pertinent issues and grappled with social concerns which affect people in his state then I think he should be taken seriously.

I would, if he lived in my state. Not only would he get things done, but make you laugh while he was doing it.
