There are several things 'wrong' with your question ...
First, when an adult messes with a child that is not homosexuality, it's paedophilia. Paedophilia is a CRIME that should be tried in a court of law, and not 'in the street' or 'in the news' ...
Second, it is NOT 'against the Bible' to be gay ... nor is there anything IN the Bible that says anything about it being wrong or a sin to be gay. The parts that are usually 'quoted' are taken out of context, and have to do with PROSTITUTION (selling one's body for money or goods) and not with homosexuality.
I'm sorry, but it is people who ask the 'wrong questions' without READING the Bible or knowing the 'difference' between homosexuality and paedophilia (an adult who get sexual pleasure from a child in ANY way) who get many people 'up in arms' and shooting their mouths off about the 'wrong things' ...

A sin is any act that hurts or harms another person. Why would anyone need to read that in a book?
(for example: non-consensual sex is a sin - children could not possibly consent to something they're too young to understand. Being gay, on the other hand is not a sin if both parties consent to it )

Missy, It is Romans ch.1 versus 26-29 and some other places. About the men of the church it is simply because they are human. The lord will hold them responsible come judgement day !
