***JUST ABOUT ALL RADIO STATIONS HAVE THEIR OWN WEBSITE WHERE YOU CAN LISTEN ONLINE FOR FREE.***

If it is a particular radio station, enter the pertinent information into a search engine like Google or Yahoo. Include the call letters, home city, and dial position, such as WOMC Detroit 94.7. The first or second line should be the station's website (you can also listen for the station's web address when you are listening to the station over the air). Click on the link and go to the station's website. Look for a tab that says something like "Listen Live" and click on it. It will either open in a page with set-up options, or just open in a music playback program such as Winamp or Media Player. If it opens in a set-up page, you may need to download a player and/or designate modem speed.
If you aren't looking for a particular station but just want to choose one from a list, there are a number of good programs. Live 365.com has been around awhile and is good. Yahoo, Rhaphsody, Google, and others all have radio. If you would like to create your own personal radio station that plays different types of music you designate, Pandora.com is excellent.
Make sure your speakers are on and your computer's volume is high enough and isn't muted. Sound controls, if not on your taskbar, can be adjusted in Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices in Control Panel.
If you are just looking for a particular type of music, like Blues for example, enter blues "radio station" for example, in a web browser. You should get a number of responses.
Hope this helps!

Like pretty much anybody is saying, go to a radio's station's website, and there is a buttonb that will say eiother listen now or listen live, click on it, and you will hear what is going on. No matter if it is a station that regularly plays music, or is a news/talk station, or even sports talk. ASnd like somebody else mentioned, there is AOL Radio, and maybe some otherr sites might have thier own radio station. And of course there is no cost to listen to it, and plus you don't have to be in the same city/state has a radio station in. But of course you have to figure out the timezone difference between where you live, and the timezone that the radio station that you want to listen to is in, even if you want to hear a radio show.

Well depends on what kind of music you like, but usually you just do a search. Type Radio stations in the address llink and it will bring up different listings. If you have a favorite radio station you listen to, call them and find out what their internet site address is. They should have one. Sometimes you can put in their call letters .com in the address link and it will take you to it.

On January 6, 2000 a group of musicians and music-loving technologists came together with the idea of creating the most comprehensive analysis of music ever. They put together something called Pandora - or the Music Genome Project. You type in an artist or a type of music, it establishes your likes/dislikes and adapts accordingly. It's free and a wonderful program. They have A TON of songs - try it out. Basically it's an online radio that knows what you like.

I highly, highly, HIGHLY suggest Accuradio. It's Internet Radio thats not owned by a corporate giant. It has any kind of genre you'd want., and even a Christmas channel. When I say "Christmas," you can even choose within the genre of Christmas music. It's virtually commercial free and of course it's free to listen. I've been listening to it for years now and I have no idea why it's not more popular than it is.

There are actually quite a lot of programs that can do that. I use "Audio Jack 2", which is really good. It not only picks up thousands of radio stations, you can also convert audio files (like WAV to MP3 or such stuff) and some other useful things.

Some places to take a look at.... Accuradio Slacker I can't say 100% they have exactly what you are looking for, but it may be worthwhile to check them and see. I think out of the 2, Accuradio may have a better chance of having what you are looking for.
