Do you know any native americans who refuse to use $20s? How far will they go, to avoid using these bills?

Mike you are so right. It is because of Andrew Jackson. I think it is because of the "trial of tears" incident. Thumbs up.

What does the $2 bill have to do with anything? Is Jackson on that one too, I forget?

That's a good question. Do Indian Casinos use $20s or except them?

Andrew Jackson who's picture appears on the 20 dollar bill after befriending the Cherokee and other eastern tribes when he needed them. Turned around and stabbed them all in the back by starting the "removal" of all tribes east of the Mississippi River to what was then called Indian Territory, which is now Oklahoma. The Trail of Tears as it became known as resulted in 1000's of deaths of Cherokee. We call it the Trail Where They Cried.

As far as the Casinos go I guess few people know that they ARE NOT run by the "Tribe" or Nation. They are run by companies like Harrah's so naturally they'll take any money. The "Tribe" or Nation receives a percentage of the money the casino makes and the management promise to employ a certain percentage of Tribal members. But none of us are getting rich off casinos, the money the "Tribe" or Nation receives goes for the betterment of the whole populace. IE: it builds schools, hospitals, medical centers, dialysis centers, housing, etc. the individual sees very little of the money..

None of this is true. The thing is I'm Native American and I'd gladly accept a $20 bill if you wanna give away money 😉

Had you watched the History Channel program about Andrew Jackson you would know the answer to this question is yes. There are indeed more then one native American tribe who refuses to use the 20. Ole Hickory done them dirty. Don't know how far they will go to avoid them but I'm sure they do.

If this is so, it must be because Andrew Jackson's picture is on it.
This president is responsible for the imprisonment of the race, trail of tears, etc.

Probably because Andrew Jackson is on it and he's the one that started the trail of tears. I do not blame them. Would you use currency with Hitler on it if you were jewish? It's pretty much the same thing.

I asked my friend who has native american heritage.. he said that there is something printed on the bill that is objectionable. (he uses them, though..) He's not sure what it is exactly.
