I've become more conservative, but not to a major degree. I think I've just started valuing things such as fidelity, hard work and committment more than I did when I was younger. But I have always had a more liberal point of view on things and pretty much still do. People have called me a hippie most of my life.

Statistics are wrong where I'm concerned. I started out more liberal But over the years I've become more "middle of the road". I have some liberal ideas and some conservative ones. But I don't completely side with either party because none of them are interested in compromise. All they seem to want to do is argue about getting everything "their way".

Age has a lot to do with it speaking from a mans point of view
Churchill once said ," If you are under 30 and not a liberal then you have no heart , if you are over 30 and not a conservative then you have no brain." however age isn't the only factor, after I married and had a family to support ,I realized the money to pay for the liberal programs was coming from my paycheck making it more difficult to provide for them. That started me thinking which led to me become more conservative. Typical male ,I never realy thought that women would be different in this respect. , I would be interested to hear the logic to explain it .

I'm not considered a senior yet but as a woman in my early 40's, I've become more conservative. I was a Democrat and very liberal until about age 35. I realized my beliefs were moving more toward being conservative. I feel we have become too politically correct and we aren't a society (anymore) that forces people to take responsibility for themselves. I was raised to step up when I'm wrong, accept responsibility for my actions, and live in truth and integrity. I don;t see a lot of that anymore. I also feel most teenagers aren't afraid of getting in trouble anymore. By the way, my 45 year old husband has always been a conservative. He never bashed me for my political beliefs and allowed me to come to my own conclusions.

I was raised in a conservative home and with more education and therefore more knowledge about how things work, as well as living in third world countries, I have become more and more liberal.

I've been middle of the road, slightly to the left just about all my voting life. I'd registered independent in the early 90's after a long stint as a democrat for the purpose of voting for Ross Perot and have stayed independent ever since. I noticed that the last registration card I received had no political preference listed on it and discovered that my state allows you to vote the party of your choice each election as long as you only vote once, both primary and general. Right now I feel like it's anyones race, I'll make up my mind on the day I vote, which could be either early January or late January, depending on whose party I go with.

I was raised by ultra-conservative parents. As I grew older (I was in high school during the Viet Nam war), I realized there was more going on than what my parents and teachers told me. I've become more liberal, but my mom has become more conservative. My dad was becoming more liberal before he died.
This current administration has caused me to become more cynical and distrustful of our government. It's definitely time for a change.

I am 50 and was raised in a democratic party supporting home, and while I consider myself independent, I find myself becoming more liberal as the conservatives tighten up.
