So we are a week and a half away from Christmas...Our tradition is to go to a tree farm, pick out and cut down our Christmas Tree. This year the weather hasn't allowed us to get this done yet. Should I hold out and pray that next weekend will be nice enough to do this, or should I break tradition and just buy one from a lot?

I would wait until next weekend. If it's still not nice weather then you can just go to a lot!! Good luck & have a great day!!

Buy one from a lot... Usually for charity any way (Knights of Columbus is who i've bought a wreath from this year- when I was in Wisconsin last weekend)... Although if the weather permits! Usually a wonderful adventure to go out and get your own. Haven't done that since I was a teenager (with my Grandparents, Dad, and Uncle). The snowball fight was most memorable!

No, go purchase one from a store. Trees are a beautiful creation of Mother Nature. Leave them alone and let them grow to be tall and wondrous. Remember in the beginning of tree deco it was the Germans putting fruit, nuts, berries, and even candles on the trees outside. Whereas the animals could find food and humans could sit at the window and watch nature at its finest.

I don't think you should break tradition. you should wait besides it's a tradition and it would be worst to break buy buying one that isn't then breakink it because there wasn't one available.
wait besides if the weather is better you'll feel good by the time you get it.

The weather reports look glum. If you want to make sure you have a tree for Christmas you better hit the lot.

Doesn't hurt to stray from tradition now and then. Wait till Wed. If you can't cut one by then consider buying one - but watch it. Some of the ones you buy the needles fall off fast.

You can`t depend on the weather, so either go get your tree in bad weather or go to the lot, it`s your call. Merry Christmas.

You should just break down and buy one from a lot because the weather shouldn't be getting any better for you anytime soon.

Just wait. I'm sure a window of opportunity will present itself. Christmas is all about traditions so I would do my best not to break any.

try as hard as possible to get a real tree. But praying IS a good idea. If its dec 24 just get a different one that you CAN get and explain the truth to your family. They will understand.
