This answer is mainlya summary of what the other answeres were but I am trying to add more.
The teen may feel pressured by his friends to drop out with them, with the mentallity that all of us did when we were in school, 'I won't need any of this in the real world. How do they expect me to sit here and listen to a bunch of old geezers that don't know what they are talking about?'
There may also be a situation where the teen may have to drop out of school to work full time to support his/her family. Schools have a program where the teen can attend half a day then go to work the rest of the day, but the teen may not want to go through the hassle.
Many more things can push a teen to dropout. Drugs- they just don't care about themselves or others to achieve a greater lifestyle. Pregnancy- many teen girls dropout after becoming pregnant. And almost never go back.
Yes they can go back and get their GED. But look at what they could be missing. The journey, the potential friends, potential enemies, games, concerts, (late night parties - no I never did that), Prom, Graduation. Nothing in High School will ever compare to the feeling I got when I walked across that stage to receive my diploma.
But thats my answer. If it makes sense, then yea. If not, sorry.

It could be a variety of factors, such as having to get a full-time job to support a family, feeling totally disillusioned with the system, failing too many classes and feeling like it's impossible, getting into too much trouble at school and feeling hopeless about school, being expelled too many times and just giving up, doing drugs and thus getting expelled a lot and then just dropping out, very low self-esteem issues, or a variety of other things.

Teens have their emotions set on 'high' by Nature. Super sensitive. If they don't feel included, feel ridiculed or ignored, they are very uncomfortable in a group. If that group is in school, it's school they leave as a way to leave the group. We need to let young people know they have other options. You know, high school only lasts 4 years and then you never have to see those people again. Get your education and get out.

They placed on AE, Aeropostal, etc; they have coach luggage and wore various makeup 2. They have been the youngsters of medical doctors, legal experts, the rich human beings 3. soccer payers have been as stupid as bricks and each in specific situations not the main conventional. Being athletic (no be counted the sport) made you extra probable to grow to be conventional, some thing I never rightly understood. yet another oddity grew to become into that many human beings in marching band have been conventional. i.e. they not often experience under the nerdy, awkward stereotype. 4. you in addition to would defined the conventional pupils o.k. as that it grew to become into comparable right here too. ( renowned, humorous, slutty each in specific situations, they drink, do sexual stuff to get interest, bypass classification yet get good grades). I continually concept it grew to become into extraordinary what number conventional youngsters have been athletic and on the A-honor roll. The cheese turning out to be on timber project is humorous, yet i think that ought to take place. There are people who're so stupid, so, so stupid and it is worse in youth.

Parents are to blame for most problematic kids by demanding respect from them but never showing the children any respect themselves. Actions speak louder than words. The best teacher is example.

the desire to make money
my friend dropped out because he was smart but never did his homework so he was stuck in all the easy classes. He felt that he was babied by his teachers which can be humiliating for an 18 year old.
