I am looking for a FAMILY style hotel in las vegas. I do not want the singles or party crowd, its for a family, relaxed trip. I want to be on the strip, so what are some good family hotels and not labeled "singles" or party ones. ok thanks

Stay away from Circus Circus 9 (too many kids), Harrahs and Planet Hollywood are geared more for singles. Anywhere else on the strip is fine. Most of the party hotels are off the strip.

Don't do it. Avoid bringing your kids if possible. If you are just determined to lug your children to this ADULT themed destination, then this is what you are in for.

Circus Circus is the last dinasaur that caters to families. Therefore, for those who aren't wise enough to leave the kids at home, they segregate you at the far end of the strip, and let you wallow in pure filth.

Here is a little info on my one and only stay at Circus Circus.

Checked in. Went to my room. Wanted to fix a drink, so I went to the ice machine. I fill the ice bucket with ice, and go back to my room. Put some ice in a glass, and something catches my eye. I look back at the ice bucket, and notice there is a dead roach in the ice bucket. (Came out of the ice machine.)

I call downstairs to complain, she says she will have a manager call me back shortly. While waiting for the call, I start watching TV. Once again, something catches my eye. There are bugs and roaches crawling on the floor next to the dresser. I call downstairs to complain. Luckily, this time thet upgrade me to a "suite" on a higher floor.

I get to the "suite" and the room is huge, but the decor is something out of the Munsters TV show. Dust everywhere. By this time I try to make the best out of a bad situation. I fix a drink. (Straight - no ice this time.) After my drink I adjust the thermostat to get some air blowing through the room. The vent cover falls right off the wall. It was barely hanging on by one loose screw. I prop it up against the wall and call downstairs. They send someone (the next day) with a drill to screw it in properly.

I could go on and on but I'll stop. The place is a dump. It smells. A lot of riff raff hang out right next door at slots-a-fun. Don't stay there. You're likely to get your purse snatched. You can't say you haven't been warned.

Just got back from Vegas Fri., and I go every year. The experiment for the "family" Vegas failed. Kid's do not belong in Vegas. You cant even get into the Wynn unless you are 21. If you must, go to Circus Circus, at least then the kids will be out of the way of the adults in Vegas. I have to ask, why would anyone take their kids to Vegas? It seems like a very irresponsible decision, made so the parents get thier way and the kids get a pretty bad vacation. Go to a family destination and come back to Vegas when you dont have to babysit. PLEASE, for the ones of us who go to Vegas......to get away from kids!

Circus Circus Hotel and Casino always has very reasonably priced rooms. Adventuredome, free circus acts and a ton of cheap eats makes this ideal for families. The price is also good, I have got the good price from hotelsguru.com , it is only 47 per room per night,

If you want to bring your family to Vegas the best place to stay is called Disneyland.

The only downside is that it's about 250 miles off the strip.

MGM, Excalibur & Mandalay Bay are very good Adult Fun (not Singles type) places. MonteCarlo is good to, but I like the first 3 best.
