I support ron paul and plan on voting for him regardless of what happens. I vote on my own convictions. Why do my relatives tell me I am throwing vote away?

Because barring all other candidates dropping dead Ron Paul stands no chance of winning

You SHOULD vote for who you want. People say that you are throwing your vote away be cause sadly Ron Paul doesn't have a chance. He has never pulled double digits in any poll. Sorry-but the news reports poll numbers and the people hear them.

I have a conscience. Therefore, I'll be satisfied that I "threw" my vote in the right direction. I'm still thinking positive and hoping that we, the people, will get what we deserve, Ron Paul as our president.

I've been told the same, but my conscience is clear about MY voting record. I didn't vote for GHW Bush, GW Bush, Clinton. or Gore.

Because he really doesn't have a real chance of winning. But you can't let them persuade you to vote on someone just because they are the front runners. I personally don't support Ron Paul, but if you feel he is the best candidate you must vote for him. If everyone actually voted for who they believed was most qualified instead of the front runners we might see differant results. But people are too influenced by the media. When I voted Ross Perot back in 96 a lot of people were telling me i was throwing my vote away. Even though some of them actually liked him but wanted to feel like their vote matter so they voted for a front runner.

Let them read the constitution then have a look at ROn Paul and not just what the media tells them about him. I promise you wont here that he has had multiple wives or dressed up like a woman. His voting record is flawless.

Your vote matters. It's your right to vote for whom you feel is the best suited for the position. And it's no one else's right to tell you how you should vote. Even if he's not elected, a lot of votes would at least be good for his political career. There's still a lot of good that he can do even if he isn't president.

It is fair to say that people that say your wasting your vote are probably informed by the TV. By supporting Ron Paul you are doing the following:
Voting for the constitution
Voting to stop the endless war
Voting to keep your money
Voting to hold accountable the Federal Reserve
Voting for freedom
You would also be following the great men that built this country and wrote our bill of rights. For it is those men that sacrificed so much to ensure their children have justice and liberty in the future. In my opinion a vote for anyone else would be wasting the vote. You would not be voting to stop this illegal invasion we call a war on terror, therefore continuing the slaughter of innocent people and our own solders life's. That is not only a waste of human life but surely a wasted vote.
Keep true to the beliefs of this great nation that we are free and will fight for our liberty to remain instead of removing liberties in the false name of security.
Keep up the fight , to follow an evil empire tis to become evil.
Everyone is invited to the Tea party today join America for the day of freedom and donate anything you can to our fight for justice and peace.

Personally I consider voting for anyone but him throwing my vote away. They are probably scared of the latest "Partisan Threat". So am I to be frank, I am scared of all the latest Partisan Threats to my liberty on both sides of the aisle, hence my vote for Paul.

Ur not.
I think we can safely say Ron Paul wont win, so by saying ur throwing ur vote away, they mean u are wasting a vote on a hopeless cause. Thats a stupid state of mind. If everyone in this country voted for the candidate they actually thought was the most suitable, and stopped being afraid to "waste their votes" we would be a lot better off.

Because they would rather vote for the person who they think will win. To me that sounds more like throwing your vote away though, since they don't need your vote.
