Belichick; didn't steal money from his team and didn't screw over his own players.

All faults considered: Bill Belichick is more respectable. Although not a perfect example, a true test of one's character is to ask the people who've worked with him and for him.
With that test, who votes for Bobby Petrino? NO ONE! At least Belichick will get a few votes.

petrino should have become a quarterback coach if he wanted to work with a "star" like vick. there is more to a team than a quarterback and it is not excuse to quit the entire organization. as much as i dislike belichick, he is the less unrespectable of the two

Belichick may be a dirtbag, but he is still one hell of a coach. Booby Petrino, yes I know how I spelled it, ran away from Louisville after holding them up every year for a raise to go after his dream in the NFL. Then after things don't work out so well because his QB is a felon, he ran like a scared rabbit. By the way Booby thanks for the note so that we have written proof of what a piece of s%*t you are.

Bill hands down.
As cuestionable as the the spygate is, at least the guy is no quitter. He paid the fine, kinda "apologized", and now he and his team are in "revenge mode" giving some little retribution.
Petrino on the other side is a quitter. When things got tough He just ran away crying for mommy.

I think Bobby was smart to quit.. His ship was sunk an he needed to come up for air.. He took a 6 million dollar pay cut to gain some self respect..

Belichick bent the rules, but I still prefer him over a guy who quit on his team.

Well Bobby would, just like he did to Louisville. Right after he signed a contract there he interviewed for the Auburn job, then ended up going to the Falcolns. But Bill did this too, 1 day after signing with the Jets he took the Patriots job instead. I really have no respect for both of them.
