If that celebrity is Oprah helping Obama defeat Hillary, then I say "All's fair in love and war!" Hillary has proven just how low she will stoop by attacking the printed words of a six year old Barack Obama. Frankly, I can't imagine anything quite so immature and unprofessional, but I guess that describes Hillary. Is this what the voters of the US want as their next president ? I think not !

Why would you think that any particular candidate is relying on the endorsement of a celebrity. I believe most believe that it is nice to have celebrity endorsement but I doubt any of them DEPEND on that endorsement.

No candidate relies on a celebrity endorsement. It is just one more arrow in the quiver; one more tool in the kit.

No. I think of celebrities as ordinary people who just happen to have a lot of fame and money. Just because we see someone in a movie doesn't mean that they are right all the time. People who worship celebrities don't vote that much anyway, I hear. Guess they are too busy reading their "People" magazines.

It turns me off. I want to see how they voted in the past, and I want to hear what they stand for from their own mouths.
Dont get me wrong, I Like Chuck Norris (Did you know he can drown a fish?).... but Im not casting my vote for Huckabee just yet until I see what the man stands for on ALL the issues.

I don't agree. Endorsements are a frame of reference about the candidates, and can serve as a guide for voters.

The problem isn't celebrity endorsements per se. The problem is that we are so focused on the triviality of celebrity that it takes them to get us interested in things that are really important.

No, we shouldn't even pay attention to them especially if they are relying on celebrity endorsement. Celebs are NOT in touch with American values. They fly from NY to LA and everybody they come in contact with agrees with their politics. They are irrevelant.

i don't think obama is doing this for those reasons i think that oprah might actually accept vice president if he gets nominated in which he wouldn't and if you look at social life around you people in america rely on people in the media to make desions for us so that we don't have to make them so which ever actor we like the best you choose that one and that's what you get. in all realtly we also look at politians to be celeberties in a since
