It depends on the place of Greece they live. In the big cities women have won a better level of treatment, but in villages the situation is still very hard: Men spend their free time at the coffe shops and women stay at home to look after the children and the household, when in the mornings in most of the cases they work together with their husbands.
I think there is quite a distance left to be run until women in Greece are considered equal.

Your question is extremely confusing to respond to. once you communicate of historic Greece and historic Rome, even with the backside of estimates, you're dealing of a era that lasted over six hundred years. to respond to your question, in Rome, aristocratic ladies have been frequently extremely loose to do as they delighted, even with the incontrovertible fact that adultery became into, of direction frowned upon. This pronounced, Hadrian's spouse became into popular for her orgies (having pronounced that, Hadrian became right into a generic gay). even with the incontrovertible fact that Greek ladies weren't allowed, in Athens, to be a factor of the Democracy (as they weren't considered voters), they nevertheless had some freedom. you will see that that ladies weren't purely 'slaves and whores' in case you study Aristophanes's Lysistrata. you could't say that one became into extra effective than the different. attempt to think of of gray areas fairly than black and white. additionally attempt to place your self interior the region of those people, and dodge making ethical anachronisms.

OK...It's a well known fact that Italian men often live with their mothers for way too long. LOL Since Italian and Greek culture is quite similar, I would have to imagine that Greek women for the most part are very well respected by their male counterparts.

If I judge from myself, I am the most spoiled woman in the world, and I am totally equal to my husband. It is the same for many other women too, depending on their education level as well, but not for all. It has to do with personalities, not countries.

They're forced to use the back door, but other than that, I think it's a fairly progressive place for women.
