I'm assuming that your partner is female and that you are the male. Congratulations on finding a partner that's interested up to the age of 60. It appears that most women lose interest about 7 years after marriage, hence the term the 7 year itch. It causes no end of problems when the regular refusal excuses start, it may be due to spite, or a total lack of understanding, or in very rare cases, illness. The resulting male frustration can cause very unsatisfactory outlets, sometimes these are illegal.

This is an interesting accurate question for the Senior Citizens Section. Too bad more people, especially women aren't on here reading these replies.
Unfortunately when a lot of women hit Menopause-from what I hear, just listening to women I know- the interest is over and gone. "I'm too old, he can go find someone else for that, I don't want that anymore," is heard a lot. Women hold grudges too.
I hang out with a group of women age 40-80. We meet for coffee every week. (20-30 of them-not always the same people)
The majority still work and are active, but not in bed.
I will not discuss the subject with them and they tease me because my husband and I have a date every week, still hold hands. Their comments are: "No one can be that happy after being married as long as you two." Gladys answer is great.

There's nothing wrong with it. You are thinking this is wrong because your partner disagrees with you but this is I would say 'normal', couples sometimes aren't 'in sync' - meaning the other one may not be as sexually active than the other. You may think that it may upset her/him to argue and that led you to thinking it is wrong.
If I were you, I would just keep nagging (in a way that doesn't annoy but to stimulate him/her to get your desired result. Your partner may set consequences after it though so I have you warned)

I am 54 and make love daily. I expect in six years we will still be making love on a daily basis. The only thing wrong with three times a week is - What about the other four days?

I just wish I could make love once every 3 weeks, you just enjoy it and keep it up,(even if you need viagra to) and the very best of luck. I really envy you. Merry Christmas.

Of course it's not wrong. Your partner may need seducing. Try a new approach. Spice things up. Bedtime may not be the best time. Some people may just be to tired.

My mother advised me and may I add the only good relevant advice she ever gave was that everyone should have sex at least 3 times a week regardless of age unless health prohibits it.

as right as it can get.
Get the wifey a diet
supplement at the health food
store. It's called DHEA and
she will be all smiles and
frisky again.

Man, I would be in the sack every hour if I could get away with it. To make up with the 60's that I mostly missed. Good question. Probably have to rest up for two days each time though!!
