BUT~
Dont you find it funny that Queen's songs STILL ROCK???
If I hear a Beatles song now, I switch the station ~ no question about it ~ too soupy man!

I think Iron Maiden get the title.
They've been writing songs since the 70's, all of their stuff is original, a lot of it is based on history and a little on mythology and, the biggest factor, they are still going very very strong today. Not many bands can say they released 23 albums and seven compilations and are still producing new, and successful albums!

The Beatles are fantastic, and they are my second favorite band,
but they were too concerned with image.
Queen did what they wanted and people either loved it or hated it. They were much broader than the Beatles and covered everything from Metal to Opera.
Besides,
did the Beatles have Freddie Mercury?
