A movie film, as Speilberg pulled some dramatic performances from everyone. danny Glover has never been such an unrelenting creep in ANY film, not even Witness.
Keep in mind that the film had Oscar nominations in all four acting categories

I thought it was a good movie. I was saddened by the bigotry and domestic violence even though I know that sort of thing went on for years.
I saw it in the theater so it had a bigger impact on me. When I watch a movie at home, I am up and down and doing other things and I don't get as much out of it.

It's "Corinna, Corinna", with Ray Liotta as the single songwriter dad with a daughter in the 1950's. Whoopi gets a job as the girl's nanny.

I think the movie has a very deep meaning with lots of different things to be learnt from it.

it is a good movie, very emotional and difficult to watch in some parts.
good example of how black and white women alike have been oppressed.
now that type of abuse has been replaced by sex trafficking!

Terrific movie portaying the lives of blacks during that time period.

I love the book, it is crazy! But it is a good story... It's kinda scary really...
