at eight legs each you would need about, say, 300 spiders which would give you 2400 legs. That would seem to be a goodly amount for a 6ft tree. you would need 1 can of silver spray paint and maybe even a tub of sparkles. I think it could be done.
For mass production we would need spider farms. Then there would have to be someone to bribe/pay off PETA. We would need leg pullers, and maybe a few developers to figure out a use for the left over bodies, perhaps they could be used as ornaments. The legs would have to be dried or preserved in some way to keep them viable. Then there would have to be artists to make them festive. You would need a shipping/ packing dept. A few trucks to transport. Licenses and such. Marketing. A research team. Promotions. Lawyers. Copyrights. It could be feasible and lucrative as a business venture but I don't think you see a profit until maybe 3 seasons in.

why not centipedes? they have many more legs to work with and they don't seem to have much use. at least spiders eat many insects and make beautiful webs
