in cars we find some abbreviations such as:

GX, GXR, GL, GLX, etc.

would you please tell me what they stand for?

NB if there is a site the gives all abbreviations for such abbreviations I have given above, please give me the link to it.

They are just trim levels and in many cases have no real meaning. You will find that the more letters that are used, the nicer the trim is.

The X usually denotes 4 wheel drive and the accompanying letters indicate the trim level associated with that make and model of car.

There is no correct abreviation. They are just trim levels given to car by there manufacturers. GL is used by many VW, Volvo, GLX is VWs

they just stand for different trim packages that can be added to a car when buying it or they come with them,it helps to describe the vehicle,and what options it may have on it,that's all they stand for,good luck.
