A teenage boy has died after he was stabbed in a mass brawl, police said.
The youth, believed to be 16-years-old, was attacked on Farleigh Road, Stoke Newington, North London at around 11pm on Saturday night. He was taken to hospital but died overnight. A second teenager was seriously injured in the fight, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
Fourteen people have been arrested in connection with the murder and disturbance.

My view is that the daily disorder on the urban streets of Britain is out of control. Parents don't care for, control, love and educate their teenage children adequately, and do nothing to redress the bias of the media towards encouraging
greed, aggression and binge drinking. Alcohol is far too cheap and far too many bars and clubs are open far too long; bars and clubs where brawls and drug dealing frequently occur, never seem to be closed by the licensing authority. There is a macho idea amongst many young and not so young people that it is clever, desirable and socially acceptable to behave in an obnoxious and violent fashion and that the gang is the ideal social grouping. Many believe quite rightly that they wil not be properly punished by their families and or the courts for their bad behaviour.
Bring back the armed forces from Iraq and elsewhere and put them out on our city streets; close pubs and clubs at a reasonable hour, and close them altogetherr if they permit bad behaviour, and shoot rioting and brawling youths on sight; make parents criminally and legally responsible for the behaviour of their under 18 offspring. Stop casting out the blame too, towards 'Immigrants' for example. The close knit
caring structures of many Asian familes in particular in Britain, has much to teach the remainder of the population.

There seems to be no way to stop these thugs from carrying lethal weapons. What needs to be done is when anyone is found to be in possession of one, is not to give them a slap on the wrist but to make the penalty so harsh as to make them really fearful of the penalty, no excuses. If they can't be trusted on the steets they shouldn't be there. It's time to take the gloves off, before it's too late.

terrible situation.....these things have always happened to some extent (stories of razor gangs in Glasgow in 50's / 60's) but it's a symptom of the lack of respect for anything or anybody which runs through so much of society.

It's disgraceful, what the hell are the parents doing letting their kids run wild?
It seem to me that the parents need educated in how to teach their kids on how to respect life, others and themselves.
Respect has gone out of the window regarding some of the youth of today.

my question would be where are our police sitting in there cars they need to go out on the streets like the did years ago where a police man knew what was going on in the streets, in stead of letting these kids run gangs and they need the power to stop and search these kids

well, If it was twenty and the police done their job and secured a conviction , then surely the amount involved or arrested should be irrelevant. lets hope the second youngster survives

thats very sad.
but really in london, around hackney/dalston area its not uncommon news.
I change buses on murder mile to get to my horse riding lessons every week, flowers in different places every week.
really it seems like no one with the power to do something is even trying to do something.
what a beautiful world this is.
