Simply put Crimson Tide is the greatest submarine movie your gonna find, amazing acting and tension!

Not sure of the dates but Das Boot is by far the best but Red October Crimson Tide and the Widow maker r all good films

There is nothing like that in the last seven years..
General speaking "Das Boot" takes top honors for really showing what life on a sub was like.
"Red October" is a bit too hokey, "Crimson Tide" is too fraught with peril and "The World Is Not Enough" only has the sub as a climax

Why limit yourself to 2000 and after? For sheer realism, nothing can compare to "Das Boot".
