Who was a bigger great quarterback choaker? in the playoffs , would it be Peyton Manning or Dan Marino? They could never win big games unless their team carries them. A perfect ex was last year when manning won superbowl and he choked in every game. His rating was74.8 in all the games combined, and Marino threw 2 picks to loose to Montana in "83

Until last year, the Colts could be counted on to choke in the big game, but it is great when the team effort can compensate for one player who is playing poorly that day. I would say the biggest choker of last year and recent history was a team, NE Pats in the AFC Championship game last January. They should have had that game bagged after the half but the Colts totally rolled over them for one of the greatest comebacks in NFL history. That game was the real Superbowl and it was the most exciting game I have ever watched. And, that is the real fuel behind the NE Pats anger this year - not the video taping scandal.
Bottom line, I have great respect for Brady, Manning & Marino as well as all great athelics. It would be unkind and ufounded to call them "chokers" when I couldn't have made 2nd string quarterback on my high school team. Still, last year in the 2nd half of the AFC finals - Brady really did blow. Or you could say that Manning was magnificant.

You're an idiot, last time I checked it was a TEAM game. 22 guys working toward one goal. I'm sure you could make the argument that without Manning or Marino that their respective teams wouldn't even be in the playoffs.

How many rings does Marino have? Last year took Manning off the hook. Plus when he loses he loses to the the team that wins it all. Other than the super bowl, Dan lost to teams who did not win the super bowl.

He didn't 'choke' ... his team just contributed more than usual, and Manning didn't have to rely on himself to carry the team. It was a great all-around effort.
New England, as much as it pains me to say it, was one of the biggest NFL chokes ever. Ahead 21-3 against Indy, they would surrender 35 points in roughly 20-24 game minutes and eventually lost by a field goal.

Well, man...I'm a Pats fan too...but Peyton finally won the big one(even though it was questionable whether the refs helped him)...and Marino never did...
