Ok I'm a student with no money in the bank. I cant pay my rent and am about $1000 behind in my rent. If i dont pay it i get kicked out of my apartment.
I have just been hired at a new job. Will a bank give me a credit card now that I have just started working?
I need about 1000 - 2000 on a credit card so i can pay my rent immediately.
Can I get a credit card?

Talk to your landlord and tell him/her what your situation is. Make a WRITTEN re-payment arrangement with the landlord and STICK TO IT! (Trust me, it is actually in your landlord's best interest to cut you a break. If they kicked you out, they would have to go to court and wouldn't get the rent and they would have to go through the aggravation of getting another tenant.)
DO NOT get a credit card! You can't pay rent with a Visa and going into debt is not the best thing for you to do.

Borrowing money on a credit card is a BAD idea - the interest rate will be huge. Shop around and compare interest rates from different banks and arrange a proper loan - but work at repaying it as soon as you can.
You need to draw up a monthly budget and look at cutting out non-essentials, so that you don't borrow more money than you have to in order to pay the rent arrears. You might have to consider moving back in with family or friends if that's possible.

Go beg to mommy and daddy. If you put your rent on a credit card, the monthly payments on 1000 balance will be about $100-200 a month depending on your interest rate.
Since you can't pay your rent now, how do you plan to pay your rent + the extra to pay a credit card?
Should have gotten a job before the apartment.
