Fish would survive for about 5 minutes, but after that they would die becuase of the chlorine. That is why at most parties if they put goldfish in the water, they put it in a non-chlorinated pool, or a low-chlorinated pool. It wouldnt matter whether it was a big or small fish, it would still die after 5 minutes or so in a chlorine pool. It would live in a salt-water pool though.
