If the science of opinion polling is anything to go by, Narendra Modi is likely to create an electoral history of sorts by returning to power in Gujarat. The findings of the Indian Express-CNN-IBN-Divya Bhaskar Gujarat poll suggest that despite losing some popular support, the BJP in Gujarat has retained much of the edge that it has enjoyed over the Congress in the last decade or more.
The poll suggests that the BJP improved its performance in the last few days before elections and is likely to return a very impressive performance in the second phase of polling. (Read methodology)
It poll estimates that the BJP will end up between 92-100 seats and thus win a clear majority in the 182 member state assembly. The Congress on the other hand is expected to improve its tally from 51 in the last elections to 77-85 this time but fall short of challenging the BJP.

As you see election exit poles conducted by various news channels, BJP is likely to be ahead of congress. And also the interesting thing is, BJP seats are getting reduced.
For many reasons, I think that if BJP is back in power it is not because of Modi and his wide spread hatred but it is because of there is no strong oposition leader in BJP. Congress could not project a strong candidate who can be CM of Gujarat and that is the only benifit for Modi. I just pray god that he does not play his dirty game of hatred, terrorist, VINASH again. Bhagawan Modi to sadbudhi do.

BJP for sure.
With intellectual giants & Orators (?) like soniaben & rahul canvassing, most Congress candidates will lose their deposits, --as in UP.

It is regrettable that people outside Gujarat have not been told the whole story of the elctions there.
The impression created by media is that Modi has held himself as a'Titan"and he could win the elections in Gujarat all by himself. The central leadership of the party confirmed it.
In his climb upto the ethereal region he has treaded on many
person's' corns and banished many loyal partymen and they, in turn, revoted against him.
When Sonia descnded on Gujarat, and when Modi, felt that "development' was not taken up seriously by his audience. He picked up Sonia's remark and jumped over to his favourite turf.
The media and others, still, said that he would emergge triumphant!
We will do well to wait till 23rd instant to know the realverdict.
In the last UP elections too the media was sure of BJP's victory. But Mayawati won.
