my dsl disk doesnt seem to be installing into my computer after i wiped it out and i cant figure out what drivers i may need. I do know the usb cable is not being recognized on my dsl box. my computer is a dell dimension 2350. HELP

Find CD the DSL box came with (conteact ISP if you need a new on)
Install disc, run it's installer, connect DSL box when prompted

do a windows update that may help
install the dsl cd you have
go to the website regarding your sytem eg DELL support
and download the correct/ latest drivers from there

After installing Windows XP, the next step is to install the system drivers for your motherboard devices . These drivers support such things as your USB ports etc..
Install device drivers for your motherboard chipset then install your ISP CD.

You probably have to reinstall the network card driver. It is usually found on the Dell resource cd that came with your computer. Otherwise you can get it from Dell's website by putting in the service tag number (from the sticker on the tower/laptop): http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?s=gen&cs=
