so here is what happened. i bought a 340 dollar phone from an ebay seller whose store was robbed so he didnt have the phone anymore so he said he would send me a refund. when i bought the item it automatically used the 22 dollars in my paypal account and then used my debit card/bank account for the remainder. the 22 dollars instantly returned to my paypal account. But where is the rest will it go back into my bank account? if so how long will this take? its been a few days and im starting to worry...

If your VISA card was used then all you have to do is go to your local bank and tell them you paid for but never received the item and they will pull the money back from where it was transferred to and put it back in your account. Most credit and debit cards have a fraud guarantee and if the merchant is unable to prove the goods were placed in your hands (such as a signed delivery receipt) then the credit card company will take the money back from them. My bank has done this on more than one occasion and it was an instant credit to my account.

You don't have to wait on ebay, or paypal, or anyone else. The card company overrules them all.

It will go into your paypal account. But don't worry, you can withdraw from PayPal to your credit card.

First, you may need to add your bank account to your PayPal account. To do this, click https://www.paypal.com/uk/BA or copy and paste the entire link into the address bar. Please take care to enter your bank details carefully. Any incorrect information can result in a reversed withdrawal fee. Please note that the name on the bank account has to be an exact match with the contact name on the PayPal account.

Once you have registered your bank account to your PayPal account, you may withdraw your funds by following these steps:

Step 1: log in to your PayPal account.

Step 2: click 'Withdraw Funds' and following the instructions.

Step 3: to view the fees for withdrawing funds, click https://www.paypal.com/uk/fees or copy and paste the entire link into the address bar.

It will go into your Paypal account. You will have to arrange transfer from Paypal to bank account if you wish to do so.
