A person who murders a pregnant woman, and convicted of it, gets dual murder convictions, for TWO murders! Yet if a living woman has an abortion, it's NOT a murder.
Folks who have reason, is that reasonable? Does that make sense? If so, why?

Thank you!

decape, if the woman didn't show up for her pre made appointment, how is her baby going to get aborted? Shall she lift heavy objects in hopes of losing the baby without help? The doctor is not the holder of the safety of an unborn baby. A MOTHER is, but I guess those that have their babies scraped away, never were Mothers were they?

This is an excellent point. Also, people who are pregnant and want the baby don't refer to it as tissue or a fetus. They refer to it as a "baby."

i've got given up on attempting to cajole human beings what they ought to do whilst it come to abortion yet i stumble on it very stressful that the guidelines surrounding an unborn infant are so hypocritical. If the girl needs it, its a man or woman and it extremely is homicide-in a position yet whilst the mummy would not like it, its a 'medical decision'. It the two would desire to or should not be a man or woman, not in specific situations it extremely is and a few situations its not. you may't even use the argument of abortion can basically be complete interior the 1st 3 months because of the fact which you may get a doctor to assert the girl is mentally incapable of having a infant or that the mummy/infant's existence is in risk up till the 2nd it comes out. you need to argue a man or woman being pushed mad via an different living man or woman that they might not get faraway from, say a infant who lives at domicile, can abort that man or woman for their very very own medical nicely being. the infant can't stand the sound and/or sight of a parent or sibling and could kill themselves if the different man or woman isn't faraway from their domicile. so as to keep them self they elect to kill the different man or woman extremely. is this not the comparable project and could be thoroughly criminal?

Eventually a good lawyer could get the 2nd count of murder overturned on grounds that the prosecution cannot prove that the victim was intending to keep the fetus alive or not. Just need to wait for some rich guy to murder his pregnant wife.

The dual murder thing is a step to make abortion illegal altogether.

Wish all of you who want abortion criminalized again could go back to the fifties when poor women died; well connected women paid off a doctor to diagnose some condition requiring a procedure that would "unfortunately and accidentally" terminate a pregnancy; and single mothers were shunned. You probably don't believe it was that bad. Whatever. I'm not bashing you, I just hate to see you view it as a black and white issue when it really isn't. Doesn't matter to me, I 'm too old to have kids and almost retired so I won't have to pay for the care of all the unwanted babies. And I know that I personaly have the moral ability to make my decision on this question, I don't need a bunch of legislators.
Hope you like your brave new world with the government in your wombs. And yes, I am expecting a lot of thumbs down on this one as the issue is so highly charged that there is no discussion, only repetition of your battle cry. Sad.

It does make sense, the subject was murdered and the written laws are consistent, that the murderer did in fact kill one adult and one assumed life.
Abortion in written law is not murder so that is consistent with the law.
Law does not alway simple and black & white, like in a case of abortion who is the murderer, not the woman because she did not do it, is it the doctor, the father he didn't do it, the people, the government. The scientist who said a fetus is not a baby.
What about prevention is that murder for the lord god said to multiply and not to put your seed where it does not belong or to lust and spill your seed on the floor, is that not also murder.

It is because the the Liberal Feel Good Politically Correct Socialist continue to deny the requirement of "responsibility for ones` own actions " exist or even that is a fact of life !! They always have a trumped up lie , an excuse ! Anything that will point the finger of guilt and blame toward anyone other than themselves for anything that they touched or attempted to fix , or created that fails to anyone other than themselves !

any one that purposefully causes the loss of an unborn baby is guilty of much more than murder in the eyes of God.
a person must deny much to do such a thing.
there is however forgiveness for this act, but one must pray and ask for that forgiveness.

The reasoning I have heard is if it is wanted it is murder if it is not wanted it is no crime. We could really trim down the social programs list with logic like that. Just think we ask if this person is wanted and will be cared for by someone. If no one steps up to provide for them we kill them and call it late term abortion.

It is. The law has just moved away from what is morally right.

A better question is how they can say the government should not dictate morality but ignore the fact that laws deal with the moral failings of the criminal...

It is murder. Legal abortions are just another example of liberalism at its best.

she did not choose the baby death.

the one thing that people don't realize about abortion is that it a women's choice. only they can be the murders. the whole thing is about me being able to tell you what to do. what if instead of (right to "abortion") i substitute the words (right to "own land"). then women would be balling because i tell what you can do. that is the question. can i tell you to do anything i want you to do.
