Seeing my first bike beside the Christmas tree when I was 6 years old.
Looking out the window and seeing freshly fallen snow.
Hearing 'O Holy Night' from the stereo.
Watching Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer on TV.
My mom's excellent cooking.

Number 1 best memory = Being away from home and on vacation Thanksgiving week. No cooking for Me!
Number 2 best memory = Doing all my Christmas shopping in one fell swoop at the mall yesterday!
Even tho you didn't ask, here's a bonus answer:
Number 1 *worst* memory = emptying my wallet at the mall while doing all my Christmas shopping yesterday.

As a child going to church and the whole mystery of "Santa". How did Santa leave the presents and come down the chimney(especially with a wood burning stove going). My "Santa" did a good job keeping us guessing.
Also, just spending time together as a family..around the tree, the Christmas smells and sounds. Decorating for the season and doing crafts.

I don't have any. We didn't have holidays in my house growing up. I spend Christmas alone now, since my daughter goes with her father on Christmas. I'm an atheist, so I don't mind since I never had family holiday get togethers anyway. Just another a day off work for me:)

being a child, christmas is still my fave time of year but nothing beats being a kid a waiting for santa who you still thought was real to come and drop off your prezzies, plus it wasnt as commercial when i was a child as it has got now, carols and the school nativity and making cards a nd gifts and being over the moon to get a barbie, thats my best memories of this holiday, loving it the way only a child can love christmas :)

I remember one Christmas my grandmas basement flooded that year before Christmas and all of her x-mas decs. got ruined so she had us get out the glue and glitter and make all new ones for her tree that year it was the best thing ever! I know that is cheesy to some of you but when you had parents who didn't let you touch the tree making new decorations for one was the greatest thing. Till this day I have my kids continue to make decorations each year for our tree!

I remember spending six hours with my annoying family every year! Haha, well, last year my cousins came in from Singapore and they're pretty cool. So it was fun seeing them and hanging out with them.
