I'm sure a bunch of people will line the streets warning people about the end of the world, some people will be sitting in their homes making sure they didn't forget anything while stockpiling food, some newspapers will have massive headlines saying "The end of the world is today. Say your goodbyes and pray.", and overall panic and chaos will ensue.

...................

Then 12/22/12 will roll around and the rest of us will laugh and point and say "We told you so!"

Some sources (emphasis on "some") claim that this is the end date for the "Mayan Long Calendar." This is interpreted by some to be significant. A Google search on "Mayan Long Calendar" will result in many hits both serious and crackpot.

in accordance to José Argüelles, the guy who wrote the e book "The Mayan factor: direction previous technologies " that began purely about all those 2012 memories, we are deviating at an sped up fee from the organic order of the universe. What does THAT advise? no longer something in any respect. each and every of the apocalypse memories have been given made up later by potential of alternative persons and tacked onto the 2012 date by fact of his e book. The e book definitely would not assume any organic catastrophe in any respect. And none of that's technology. it quite is new age, mystical spiritualism, or in my view superstition.

The sun is supposed to rise and set...just like it is supposed to do every day.

The moon too.

The tide is supposed to turn.

Other than that, I can't think of anything else that is "supposed" to happen.

I think the Mayan calendar ends due to the methods by which they created their calendar.

I could be wrong. Aside from that it might snow depending on where you live.
