Sorry ,but this is really discustingly lame and ignorant. The government spends more money on wars and the military, and themselves than anything else.Stop bellyaching about what others manage to get as the poor and struggling are blessed to get anything and the rich, many who do more with their mouths and pens, take more than anyone and give less. The people who run the government and get all the benefits and set the budget are the ones to look at.The money is used in other ways,no one sees but the ones who are on the inside. This country is based on immigrants and made up of them. What was done to native americans wasn't fair either since they were the first true americans.Life is not fair but this country as a whole rich because of immigrants and it is safe to say that you wouldn't be here if it weren't for your immigrant ancestors so use some wisdom and get past your discriminations.Close minded people hate change and want things to stay the same forever but that is not reality.Life changes and people have been coming here for years,it is safe to say that these are grossly old complaints and add nothing to society. We are and should be helping one another whether here or in other countries.Get over self and you will grow in knowledge and understanding.....

as a results of fact, as you hinted at, certainty is multi-layered. subsequently a pun is humorous - it has the two its literal meaning and analogical meaning that creates a comedian assessment. comparable with parables. they have the two an outer, exoteric meaning which will properly be understood on a extra literal point and an esoteric, "hidden" point that's on a deeper extra symbolic or non secular point. The telling of parables is complete the two as a results of fact the certainty can't be contained in easy statements, yet in addition as a results of fact it is significant conceal the deeper meaning from the incorrect human beings, which Jesus warns as "casting not thy pearls in the previous swine lest they turn and trample them and tear you to products." Telling the entire certainty to the incorrect human beings is risky considering the fact that their minds are incapable of grasping it.

I think that its a one-sided view that isn't realistic. First of all, having had bird feeders, I've never had the problem the writer describes. People with common sense know better to put a feeder so close to their 'living area' anyway. And thirdly, if at first, something doesn't work out the way you planned, do you really sit back and let if continue it or look for alternative solutions?
I am from a family of immigrants and had dual citizenship until I was 22. My mothers and sisters hold green cards. They aren't sitting around clamoring for 'handouts'. They work, they have children, homes, and are involved in the community. You wouldn't know them as immigrants because they have no accent and pale skin, just as people would not know you ancestors as immigrants...
I like our Spanish speaking neighbors better than our born and bred American neighbors because they are friendlier and not snobby. Their kids don't run the streets like the little Americans do and they are respectful of what they have.
My son's class is a nice mix of cultures, which is important in becoming a global citizen in this day and age. That's important to me. The immigrant parents are much friendlier than the American parents and from my experience, tend to be more involved. Imagine the courage its takes to go into the classroom and communicate with others who don't understand your accent or know your language (cause everyone knows ours) just to be involved in your childs education. Impressive!
Schools are not behind because they have bilingual children or non-English speaking children. Schools get behind because of budget cuts, poor leadership and lack of parental support. Schools fall behind because people- law makers, communities, parents and businesses- don't value education like they should.
I live in county whose economy would absolutely collapse if it weren't for legal and illegal immigrants trying to make a living. They do jobs that are 'beneath' a lot of my fellow citizens and they do them happily. I appreciate that.
Cheaper labor for those that employ them mean cheaper prices at the store for me. I'm not ready to give that up. We, as a country, complain about foreigners, but we also complain about the rising costs of everything. Wanna pay triple the price for chicken? Send all the illegals back home!
In our local crime report, you won't see the immigrants names in the headlines. They are too busy working towards the American Dream. What you do see are our fellow citizens taking the easy ways out...
Our taxes don't go up because of immigrants. That's the most daft statement I've ever heard. Taxes rise for a number of reasons. For instance, paying for a war, rising energy costs, rising cost of living (gov't employees aren't just working in the welfare system), population growth, land development and list goes on and on. It's ignorance to think its just one thing that causes higher taxes.
If Spanish speaking people weren't a vital part of our economy and had no value, no company would serve them. The reason your boxes are bilingual is companies can sell more products. Selling more product is good for the economy.
Bilingual customer service has always existed. Spanish happens to be the most popular second language in the country, but large companies, like banks, employ interpretors of MANY languages. The computer option saves the companies money with pre-recordings, instead of a live translator, and improves efficeincy.
This parable is crass. You could have seen this 60 years ago and substituted 'black' for the word immigrant. I don't think immigrants are waving the flag for more rights, I think they are waving it for equal rights, rights current natural citizens great-grandparents sought and fought for when they stepped off the boats...
