Be True to the Blue Shoe!

the Indianapolis Colts. the Colts have struggled w/ injuries all season & just like last year people are giving up on them. except this year they gave up alot sooner w/ all eyes on the New England Patriots & the historic season they are having.

the Colts have battled thru the injuries & are an outstanding 11-2. i don't think there is a team in the league that that could have accomplished what they have considering Harrison hasn't played in 8 weeks, Booger McFarland & Dwight Freeney out for the season. there has been a revolving door on the O line & this week the best D line guys are out too. not even the Patriots.

if the Pats lost Moss & 2 of their top D players, would not be 13-0. i think they would still be a playoff team but i'm not sure they'd even be 11-2. w/ out Moss that offense would be mediocre, there is no running game & he takes so much attention that career scrubs Welker, Gaffney & Stallworth have looked very much like studs. the LB are old & their weakness is the secondary.

it will be interesting to see who the playoffs play out. the pass happy Colts have rolled into Foxboro over the years & came home sad, not being able to catch frozen footballs. the Pats advanced after play NFL small ball, Brady handing the ball off, pounding the ball on the ground & dumping passes off to burn the clock. the D made huge stops keeping Manning off the field.

the roles have reversed. i think it's odd how 2 rival teams have strived so hard to become the other team & even more so for the Pats wanting to be like the Colts after all the success they have had over the years.

i'm sure you were looking for an answer like "The Patriots" but agree w/ me or not, this is who I want to win AND why i think they have a chance.

LORD HELP OUR COLTS

It''s an excellent question. I am a Packers fan, and have been my whole life. I don't remember Superbowl I & II (I was 4 & 5), and I went through nearly 30 years of some really bad teams. I was amazed in 97 when we beat the Patriots, and was inconsolable when they got beat in the Super Bowl by Denver (though grudgingly happy for Elway). Even though getting to the Super Bowl is a great accomplishment in itself, it is somehow easier when you don't make the playoffs or even get knocked out during them. It's the anticipation of the win of the Big Game, the hype, the attention from the country and the world - that raise your expectations. When you get to that point, nothing but a win will satisfy you, no matter the obstacles overcome or the victories obtained to get there. If it's any consolation, I am proud to say that Green Bay beat a good team this year, one that never gave up, and made it very interesting in the end. Unfortunately, most Green Bay fans will think more fondly of the Steelers losing effort than their actual fans who are enduring the woulda, coulda, shouldas. ;-) As I learned with Green Bay vs. Denver that there is a reason they play the game and anything can happen no matter what the expected outcome is. I just hope next year is just as exciting! The Steeler organization is fine, and I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities for you in the coming years.

The Patriots. And not because I'm a fan, but to shut the pieholes of all the whiny haters.

Dallas Cowboys! Even when they're having a bad day, they still find a way to win - the mark of true champions!

Packers. It would let Favre retire at the top as all legends should have the chance to do.
