as in, go to the movies/mall/a house with eachother. my best friend is calling nad asking and want s me to come over but i have never told her about my PMS, i kindly said i didn't feel well.
was that hte right thing to do?

Of course go out!! You don't want to out your life on hold 1/4 of the time.....Just bring a purse with your back up supplies and have fun. Don't forget the Midol if you really are feeling un-well...

stopping your life for 4-7 days sounds very silly. Go out and have fun. If you're in too much pain to do it, see a doctor- PMS is unpleasant for everybody, but if it severe enough that it interferes with your normal life, you should get help.

I go out. If you get depressed or have bad symptoms of PMS (Like PMDD) it's okay to stay in a couple days a month. Or if your cramps are horrible to the point you can't move then yeah it's ok to stay in. You aren't obligated to tell your friend you are on your rag.

Women for many many years have done normal daily activities, gone on vacation, gone to college, gone to work, etc with their period.
Don't let your period run your life. Take tampons/pads and midol and have FUN!
Heck, I went on a Caribbean cruise for a week ON my period and still had a blast.
