"De Vieni alla Finestra" - canzonetta from Don Giovanni, calls Elena a sweet fruit
"Ombra ma Fu" - the "Xerxes" "Largo" aria by Haendel calls his darling a "darling plant" - well, it might have been a fruit tree; I can say I have never heard a love song in which the object of the love is "cara mi vegetabile"
"Where'e'er You Walk" - another hit by Haendel - "wheree'er you walk, cool gales shall fan the glade ... tress where you sit, shall crowd into a shade ... Wheree'er you tread, the blushing flowers shall rise, and all things flourish" - wouldn't that include fruit trees and plants?
