I am known as Mrs. 411 but for a different reason. Whenever someone needs help like to find stuff concerning laws, medical information or concerns, etc. etc. they call or stop by and ask for help and I always lend an ear if they need to talk to someone. Sometimes it is a good thing and sometimes its bad because then I am put into the middle of stuff unintentionally. I hate not knowing an answer to something (go figure why I like yahoo answers so much to answer and learn at the same time) and if I don't know it chances are in an hour or so I will have the answer. As for nosey aka gossipy neighbor? The answer is no. If I have something to say about you, I say it to your face the first time. I guess that explains why I am both liked and hated by some people because I am so straightforward. Personally if it isn't affecting my life then I am not interested in what is going on, it just makes one less thing to worry about.

No I'm not a nosey neighbour, I don't have to be. I'm blessed on each side with some of the nicest people I have ever met and they are not nosey either. Each considers each other without intruding, each offers with any help required with-out being pushy, to some people we live in cloud cockoo land
An example, today one neighbour departs on a cruise, she brought in this morning flowers so they should not be thrown away and wasted, she thought my wife would like them. I inturn will will put her bin out, which I would have done anyway
The other side we entertain on Christmas Eve with other friends, in turn we will be with them on New Years Eve, and look forard to it. Perhaps we wont see them after that for a couple of months, unless we have a problem. Enjoy your neighbours they are probably nice people.

Not really unless I notice something strange
Like one time my neighbors who are like 16-20 ( there are 5 of them )
They go to college near my house but they rented a house next to me all together and I have woods and one day i noticed them with beer and matches and going into the woods so we didnt really care cuz they were having a party and then they were still back there at 2:30AM because I just got home from a batmitzvah at 12 and I took a shower and ate and the cars and stuff were still there and we called the cops they cops went in there and they had to chace them down and they started a fire and they got drunk and then they made everyone go home but there is an abanded truck back there because there is a really old nice guy back there who used to work on cars ( we were worried about him thats why we callled the cops ) and one kid was sleeping in the van and the police didnt know so he was left behind and then he went to my elderly nieghbors house at 4 in the morning screaming LET ME IN! and he was drunk and getting mad
so now I keep an eye on them.... they have also had guns there and the wife shot her ex but if I notice anything strange I tell my parents and then we make sure nothing is going on
But other than those neighbors i am NOT nosey

I just say good morning when I see him - he is the only neighbour I have ever seen....and to be honest I only said it once as never saw him since then. No i am not nosey then:-)

no way! the neighbours here are noisy as some pensioners and all they do is look out their window!! but for me i cudnt care less and hate nosey neighbours.

Not nosy, watchful. I do know all of my neighbors. We lookout for each other and lend a helping hand when needed. In many ways, an extended family.
