i recently bought a laptop and am giving my pc to my sister but i want to clean the whole thing out so she can start from scratch with it but i dont have the windows install disk is there anyway this can be done or do i have to buy the windows disk

After you've transferred all your files to your new computer, just delete the files from the old computer. When you delete your userid, it'll give you the option to delete that user's files or not.

back up your data.
contact the manufacture and ask for the recovery disks
if you have a product key for xp any copy of xp will work to format the system to factory settings
the product key will be on the bottom of the laptop
