The job of a Red Blood Cell is to carry oxygen. By removing the nucleus and getting the donut shape, the cell has more surface area. This allows it to carry more oxygen than if it maintained the nucleus.

rbc's r enucleated.. widout a nucleus.......they r dumbell shaped..........i think its bcoz dey shud be able to pass into the thinnest of da thinnest capillary, they hv no nuc so they can easily squeeze into it,,,,,,moreover their shape also helps
