Being depressed is cumulative and sometime strickly caused by a medical condition, you may be unable to turn around something on your own that is not in your control.
I had depression that lasted 3 years and was unwilling to go the prescription route.
I turned it around 4 years ago through a multiple step approach, I started eating correctly, exercise also helped. The biggest help came from helping others I volunteered at shelters, soup kitchens, children's hospitals and meals on wheels, and I also tutor learning disabled. I now have a network of acquaintances that are important to me and I am important to them. I love every day

I'm in the process of turning it around.
It's been a rollercoaster so far, full of setbacks, but I've got a good feeling about this time.
Find something dependable you can lean on for support.
Personally, I used a band, but whatever works for you.
Don't expect a miracle. It'll take time.
Think positively and look forward to a new start in the new year.

I've been there, so you're not alone.
I hope you feel better soon though. Sometimes it's good to just ignore the things that make you feel depressed and remember the things that made you happy. That sometimes helps me get through.
Good luck =)

yes im a much much more positive person now!
im so sorry you are feeling "low"
it happens to the best of us ... i promise!
but getting out of any depression tajkes time ...wether its being depressed of losing a loved one or the idea of being forced to move on of a relationship ...it takes huge time .
you need to remind yourself .. example: wehn u try to loose weight .. u should remember it did not take a day to get fat so similarly it will not take a day to get slim.
its hard but you NEED to explain that ..it was meant to be and God knows the best ....i will never get this moment ..this youhth /etc back ....!!!!! and then time it will take .
when you are sad and sulk only you are loosing good things of life!!!
"" if im not for me who is"
sorry ... i wrote a lot ... but uv been thru sumthings myself!!!
hugs

Many times. Almost on a weekly basis.
Watch a youtube video that makes you laugh
Like this one of a guy trying to pass a mario game and getting pissed off:
