Let me re-word the question. If you are running AT A RATE of 21 miles an hour, how fast would you run 40 yards if that is the case?

21 miles = 21 x 1760 yds = 36960 yds

36960 yds<--------->3600 sec
40 yd<-------->(40/36960) x 3600 sec

3.9 sec

You run 21 times 1760 yards in an hour.
The answer , in hours, is 40/(21 x 1760).
Multiply result by 60 to get minutes..

Time in seconds = 3600 x 40 / (21 x 1760) = 3.896 seconds.

For 40 yds how much time it takes.
36960 yds will take 60 minits.
