In my opinion, 'God' is the creation of an ignorant mind trying to make sense of a universe that it didn't understand.

If you read from multiple religions, you get the view that the basic motivation is the same all over. People add stories and commands because they want their version to be right.
The motivation for creating deities is clear. What is not clear is why people are willing to kill just to feed some king's ego who is using religious propaganda for political purposes.

Cunning minds take the honest motivation to understand the mysterious and twist it for their own purposes. Ordinary people are too busy making a living to see the deceit.

No, not in the least. I believe that there is a God, but that it is probably a female...much more intelligent than a male, and more loving and forgiving as well. That is simply my opinion, A. However I do believe that one must have faith in the unseen, the unseen is what keeps us striving for the better of humankind. Isn't it so? ~:0)IlU*M

Yes. God is the right hemisphere of the brain. The world is the left hemisphere. Those who are not in touch with their creative right side are more likely to be religious by seeing it as some sort of alien entity like god.

God is the universal consciousness that we are all a part of but too blinded by life to realize this. In other words we are all part of a deity.

If I talk to God they call that praying
If I tell you that he spoke to me I will get locked up as a madman.
So I'm not going to listen to anything he has to say...
So now you tell me.????
If God existed he would not let this happen to me !!!
