i have plenty of times, i think it's because i'm shy on the inside and good company turns it around for me

I have lots of times, and I think it's for the same reasons as you.
I also don't like really crowded places so I just one go to any. The worst instance was my husband bought 15th row tickets to see the Rolling Stones. I'd never seen them before and didn't really listen to their music. He made me go and it was the most amazing concert!

I hate sport with a passion. All sports.

I watched a boxing match and a motor race (at the venue) and had an absolute ball!

Yes that had happened many times. It is nice when that does happen after all that worry about not wanting to go.

yes!! i do that all the time, i was once dragged along to an anoying family thing but i ended up meeting my boyfriend! well not my boyfriend anymore
