I have made a slideshow and saved it on to a recordable dvd. The disc works on the computer I made it on (which has Windows Vista) but when I put it on my PC or dvd player it is saying the disc is empty!!!

Is there any way I can get the other players to play my disc?

The fact of the matter is that most Video Burning Software that comes on most Computers is entry level and will leave most users pulling out there hair.
You must use a proffesional Software tha gives you the options to burn
PC Only
Mac Only
Or PC or Mac compatible.
And the use of DVD-R Media has already been mentioned.
Always look at the Packaging before you purchase the Media you use, and make sure it will burn at all speeds from 1X through and including 16X so it can be used on all burners and Players.
You must be very selective when buying and don't just buy because there cheap, if you do you will pay the price.
Use top quality Media that are packaged in individual jewel cases it is better media than the 30-50 or 100 spool disc's.

I agree with crawfishtwo.
The disc isn't compatible with Windows Vista.

sorry to say but i think the other two guys are wrong
the reason that the disk can only play on windows vista
but not on any other dvd player is that it is not finalized or
made compatable by windows vista.check the owners
manual to find out how to do it.good luck.

well that will depend on the player and the type of media or disk it will accept. I always use dvd-r ans most generally any player will accept them. For the most part dvd-rw is not an all around format for most players it is mainly for computer use so you can rewrite the disk when you are done with whats on it.
