1) Even super geniuses must practice.

2) If you have good application skills, just study formulas, theorems and their proofs. The questions in the exams are applications of those. This is the easiest way to ace a math exam.

3) If you're not very good at application, just learn the solutions of all the textbook exercises. Devote more time to the tougher chapters. This will never help you get anything more than 75% or if you're lucky, 80%.

You really need to have an interest in the Maths to be good in it. If there is little or no interest, you're a goner. Just follow (3) till you can dump Maths.

Interest + Practice + Application = Perfect in mathematics

One's math skills improve with practice (just like one's piano skills). If your instructor assigns all of the even problems then do ALL of the problems. Practice!

hmm.. the first thing is to prepare a timetable and allocate time for each chapter.. easier ones get less time and touch chapters require more time...and follow it strictly so tat at the end u wud b able to go thru evrythg. rush thru the easy probs first and so u hav xtra time to go thru the tough ones

First of all, your fundamentals have to be right. If not, then any amount of practice will not help!
And if you dont practice, then u will forget the fundamentals!
So, it is a vicious cycle, you see!

usually i go through all the exercises of the book.
but if i dont have time i choose the easiest(ie they are always given in the front) then the medium in the middle. then on the last which is one of the hardest
