The media have 'special' correspondents who work alongside the government press aides, and they sift through the daily releases from the aides and then present to us the people the relevant facts in an easy to understand way.
But like any job they seek favours from these people to have the 'exclusive' and this is where they fall down, they are then manipulated depending on thier empolyers political leanings, and give a slanted view on each item, depending on there editors view. So don't take what's written as the facts because we the people can't handle them and so we are fed watered down versions for our own good. Make any sense, no, its not supposed too. There now what was the question.

to steal secrets from govt depts and shout what govt is hiding from public .
To dye their opinion as public opinion and foist it on Government .
To make money at the cost of both ends
Media has spectrum and not homogeious group. Each claiming it is lilly white and playing the games to suit its TRP and earning

1.Have public polls (mointored properly)..Push the govt. to react/take action to those polls.

2.Bring the bad people /corruption in open /Especially top level)
